Sept. 1
1. Kate Sommerville +Retinol Firming Eye Cream

Regular Price: $85
Sale Price:
$42.50 (online only)

I just started using this one myself. I have a good retinoid program happening for the rest of my face but am still open to testing out new retinols that are specially formulated for the delicate eye area. I’m not making the same mistake of using my face retinoid around my eyes again. The application of this one is simply glorious. The applicator is cooling and the formula is elegant, hydrating, moisturizing, even brightening. Contains Retinol, HPR or new age retinoid and Bakuchiol, the first time I’m trying a formula with this all-rounded combination! Even though I’ve just started using this, at this price, I say go for it!

2. Foreo LUNA play plus

Regular Price: $49
Sale Price:
$24.50

Every time there’s a sale going on, I always look at gadgets because a) they hardly go on sale and b) amazing value. Foreo LUNA is the only cleansing device I use mainly because of how wonderfully it massages my skin. This isn’t like the Clarisonic style cleansing tools that can be harsh on the skin by exfoliating it, rather, this hygienic silicone face cleanser features 8,000 T-sonic pulsations per minute, to bring muck to the surface but otherwise, it’s shaped perfectly to massage the skin, get under those cheekbones and get the circulation going. Great for sensitive skin!

3. BECCA Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder

Regular Price: $39
Sale Price:
$19.50

Powder wasn’t something in my vocabulary until recently. Probably because there are powders now that don’t mattify the skin or temper the glow I’ve worked so hard to achieve! I don’t do matte but I do want certain areas of my face to look more refined, finished and less porous. Wouldn’t hurt to set my concealer either. This powder is kinda all that. It sets my underage concealer without making it look dry and cakey. Around the center of my face, this gives a perfected finish especially on the warmer days. Finally, a powder finish for those with normal to dry skin! This will set your makeup, remove shine from the T-zone without drying your skin. Plus, that lit-from-within glow though.

This is translucent with 2 shades available. I use the original Creamy Beige.

Sept. 4
4. Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels

Regular Price: $17.50-32
Sale Price:
$8.75-16

The first eye gel patches I ever used waaaay back when.  These have reached iconic status to me. They are not complicated, great for sensitive skin, fabulous ingredients for the skin but they also really work. Whenever I pop these on in the morning or before events, upon removal the skin under my eyes look as though they’ve been ironed out. Instantly refreshing as well, thanks to Icelandic glacial waters. At half the price, it’s a no-brainer for me.

100% vegan, cruelty-free and free of parabens, mineral oil, and other harsh chemicals so it’s gentle on that delicate skin around the eyes.

5. Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining Serum

Regular Price: $39
Sale Price:
$19.50

GET. THIS. No really, it’s for your own good. Only one of the best all-around skin serums that support the building blocks of healthy skin. One of my favourite products since it launched. From texture to formula, this is for everyone. Light, hydrating and sinks in completely which makes it great for layering. Calms, soothes, hydrates, brightens, strengthens, refines, protects, you get the point. Formulated with all good stuff. I’ll stop gushing now.

Sept. 10
6. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

Regular Price: $28
Sale Price:
$14

A ride-or-die cleansing oil for me. The only one that was worthy of replacing my beloved Shu Uemura yonks ago and I’m still repurchasing. I love the richness of the texture when I apply and massage this on my skin during the first cleanse. This effortlessly destroys makeup including the most stubborn, waterproof, makeup including Japanese mascaras. Emulsifies beautifully and rinses off clean. Simple, no fragrance, uses the best organic olive oil from Spain then refined and purified in Japan. The love is real.

Sept. 11
7. Grande Cosmetics GrandeBROW Brow Enhancing Serum

Regular Price:$70
Sale Price:
$35

I’ve been using this and the GrandeLASH-MD serum for my lashes for over a year now and I get A LOT of comments from friends on the difference these products make. In fact, the Brow serum might be too effective as my downward-growing brows get embarrassingly long very quickly and the look is…unruly. But given the choice, I’d rather have unruly than thinning with gaps. Featuring a blend of vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids, this eyebrow-enhancing serum is designed to work in about 4 to 6 weeks. It really does.

Sept. 12
8. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara

Regular Price:$23
Sale Price: $11.50

This has been in my mascara rotation for years. Love the brush and that it lengthens and volumizes. Vegan, full of nutrients and dramatic. If you are very prone to smudging, then the waterproof version may be better but that’s not the point. This is $11 for 24 hours!

Sept. 20
9. BeautyBlender Blendercleanser Solid

Regular Price: $16
Sale Price: $8

My makeup-obsessed girlfriend introduced this to me earlier this year. She told me this was the best for cleaning makeup brushes and I haven’t looked back since. My precious Suqqu brushes have stopped shedding once I switched to using this. It has also been an amazing travel companion and has gone with me everywhere.

Sept. 20
10. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer

Regular Price: $26
Sale Price: $13

This has been my go-to, dependable concealer for the past 2 years. Others may come and go but I keep repurchasing this baby. I’ve needed more coverage under my eyes as well as certain areas of pigmentation on my face and this is the only concealer that gives incredible coverage while still being blendable, never gets cakey and stays on the entire day without creasing at all! This Summer, I’ve forgone foundation altogether and just used this knowing it won’t budge or crack throughout the day.  Aside from offering ridiculously good but natural-looking coverage, this concealer also boasts skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides and collagen. Oh yeah, and I’ve gone swimming with this on. Didn’t budge.

Wishing you great skin health & happy shopping!

I asked the same question on IG- but I would really love to know- what do you think of Kate Somerville’s Dermal Quench with retinol? It’s on special 30% offing the HOT BUYS section of the 21 day promo sale. Thanks!

Never tried it but it looks like a good, gentle starter retinol.

Which color of shade do you wear for the IT bye bye eye concealer?

Hey! So for some reason the medium blends perfectly with my skin tone for the concealer but for the foundation, I wear fair. They’ve also recently come out with many more choices for shades so I might explore to see if there is one that’s better.
