These products are sent to me by the Brand or their Public Relations agencies. I only accept these if there are no conditions attached and if I’m very interested in the product. The receipt of a product does not constitute a contract for a published review of the product. I only have one face as well as limited time and space. If I decide to give an honest review of my experience with a product, there will be a note at the end of the post indicating that it was a press sample or gift. Press samples will never be reviewed more favourably, as all opinions stated on this blog are honest assessments of the products based on my personal experience.

Since ‘Gothamista’ is a hobby for me and not a job, I’ve been in a position to decline many paid opportunities which do not interest me. The couple of times I’ve been open to sponsorship is when I was already familiar with and a fan of a brand/product/service. If I am interested in a product, Brands I work with must understand that I will only decide if a review will be made, sponsored or otherwise, after a decent trial period has been completed.
